26-27 September, 2014 : Workshop on Teaching Economics with Islamic Inputs

The Workshop is a second series of workshop to systemize teaching of Economics from Islamic Perspectives. The workshop also aims to develop textbook and teaching material. The workshop was held at Airlangga University, Surabaya and was attended by more than 30 scholars. Among the topics of paper presentation include The Experience of SEA Universities Incorporating Islamic Inputs in the Teaching of Microeconomics followed by group discussions on the assigned concepts. Participants were divided into 8 groups, and each group assigned 2 concepts where they were expected to present their output for discussion in Day 2.   

The workshop was co-organized and co-sponsored by Centre for Islamic Economics – IIUM, Airlangga University, IRTI and IIIT. IIIT was represented by Dato Wira Dr. Jamil Osman and Bro. Habib Chirzin.
