We were blessed to have Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman for a full five weeks with us to work on the core courses 'AL-JADH' and propose establishment of Department of Muslim Civilization Studies at IIUM. We have prepared a comprehensive programs and activities to benefit from Dr. Abdul Hamid presence. In summary, we have organized the following programs/events:

a. 14 sessions on development of the core courses Al-Jadh.

b. 15 talks with hosted by various departments and organisations on Islamization issues

c. 10 formal meetings and courtesy visits including visit to IIUM President and Hon. Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

d. 25 or more interviews and discussions with lecturers and students

e. 20 dinners and teas to discuss issues of common concern

The University has agreed to set-up a special secretariat headed by Prof. Dato Dr. Tahir Azhar (deputy Rector Academics) to ensure successful development and implementation of the core courses. Dr. Abdul Hamid has agreed in principal to come gain in August 2014 to complete the project.
