10 October, 2015: International Conference on Islamic Psychology (ICONIPSY) Yogyakarta.

The International Conference on Islamic Psychology (ICONIPSY) 2015, October 10 to 15, 2015 at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta with the main theme “The Contribution of Islamic Psychology to The World Civilization”. Resource persons include Prof. Dr. Malik Badri and Prof. Dr. Rahmatullah Khan, the newly elected President of IAMP (International Association of Muslim Psychologists) from UPSI (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris), Perak, Malaysia. The conference was attended by 400 participants from the different universities from Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Purwokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, etc

Prof. Dr. Malik Badri delivered a Public Lecture on “Introduction to Islamic Psychology and Concept of Soul in Islamic Perspective”, at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan , Muhammadiyah, Yogyakarta on 12th October where he stated that "Textbook Writing on the Islamic Psychology is a kind of a new Jihad”. The public lecture was officiated by the Rector of UAD, Prof. DR. Kasiyarno, and attended by the deputy Rector Prof. DR. Sarbiran, the Dean and the Deputy Deans of the faculty of Psychology of UAD, lecturers from the different universities, post graduate students of UAD, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, UGM, UMY Yogyakarta and others. This is the biggest event facilitated by Prof. Malik Badri, attended by more than 500 participants.

Prof Dr. Malik Badri also conducted a workshop on “Islamic Psychotherapy” on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, 14 October 2015. The workshop was attended by about 200 participants of the lecturers from UII Yogyakarta, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogya, UAD Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta, UIN Syarief Hidayatullah Jakarta; UIN Sultan Kasim Pekan Baru; UNISBA Bandung; Universitas Ibnu Khaldun Bogor etc.
