The International Seminar on Islamic Economics held at
the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), March 10, 2016. Brother Dr. Noorihsan Muhammad of
IIUM has presented two papers in the International Seminar and Workshop on
Teaching Islamic Economics in the University at the Post Graduate Studies of
UMY. In the International Seminar, Dr. Noorihsan of IIUM was in the panel with
Prof. Dr. Ahyar Adnan, the Director of Islamic Economics Development UMY; Amb
Dr. Zainulbahar Noor, Baznas, the first Director of Muamalat Bank; Dr. Aries
Mufti, the former Director of PNM (Permodalan Nasional Madani) and Dr. Masyhudi
Muqorrobin as Moderator.
The seminar was attended by representatives of FOSSEI (Forum of Islamic Econimics Studies) from 157 universities came from all over Indonesia, the public state universities such as UGM (Universitas Gajah Mada), UI (Universitas Indonesia), UNDIP (Universitas Diponegoro), UNAIR. IPB, UNAND etc as well as the private universities such as : UMY, UII, UNISSULA, UNIDA Gontor, UMM Malang etc.
